Kotachiwadi is a village in a city. It is a small community living in a very unique set of houses clustered in the heart of a very busy city. This small space in the narrow bylanes of Girgaum, is inhabited since more than a century by the descendants of the Pathare Prabhus and the East Indian Christians to whom the ‘Wadi’ was gifted by Dadoba Waman Khot. The place, the people and the daily lifestyle has imparted the space with its own distinct culture that makes it characteristic as compared to the city it is enclosed within.

What is very interesting to note is that this place has retained its own original characteristics over a long period of time.
