Products
Paddy grain filling are creatively made into interesting decorative items. The final products include six types Thoranas like
• Door hangings,
• Gandaberunda- mythological form,
• Aralida yele- bloomed leaf form,
• Hakigalu (birds),
• Gudugalu (nest),
• Jade guchaa.
All the products are mainly for decorating doors and corridors during festivals and weddings. The length of these Thoranas range from 15 to 20 feet in length. The biggest Thorana is 1111 feet in length. The products are marketed in places like Bangalore, Shringeri, Mysore, Davangere of Karnataka state. The life span of final product is 10 years.
