There are many methods related to cognitive ergonomics. Some of these methods include ‘Hierarchical task analysis (HTA)’; ‘Applied cognitive Work Analysis (ACWA)’; cognitive walk-through method (CWM); eye-tracking and electromyography. Among these, ‘Hierarchical task analysis (HTA)’ and cognitive walk-through method (CWM) are two basic techniques, very important for beginners for understanding cognitive status of users in the context of product design. Therefore, this section of this course will elaborate these two cognitive ergonomics methods briefly with examples.
