Detailed Description

eSanjeevani is India's flagship telemedicine platform under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), designed to provide remote healthcare services, especially to rural and underserved areas. Offering free online doctor consultations via video calls, it connects patients with medical professionals from government hospitals and health centres. The platform operates in two modes: eSanjeevani OPD (Doctor-to-Patient Mode), which allows individuals to book virtual consultations via a web portal or mobile app, and eSanjeevani AB-HWC (Doctor-to-Doctor Mode), which enables teleconsultations between Health & Wellness Centres (HWCs) and specialists at tertiary hospitals, empowering frontline healthcare workers like ANMs and ASHAs. Since its launch, eSanjeevani has facilitated over 100 million consultations, making it one of the world’s largest telemedicine platforms. It played a crucial role during COVID-19 by ensuring the continuity of healthcare services when physical hospital visits were restricted.
