Detailed Description

Project Unnati is a skill development and placement program under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). It aims to upskill unemployed rural youth from poor households to help them transition to sustainable employment. Beneficiaries receive 100 days of training in various trades, including digital literacy, entrepreneurship development, and technical and vocational skills. Upon completion, trainees are linked to wage employment or self-employment through financial support. The programme adopts a human-centred approach by offering customised training tailored to local employment needs, ensuring relevance and impact. It incorporates tech-enabled learning through e-learning modules and AI-driven career counselling to enhance engagement and support trainees effectively. Additionally, direct bank transfer integration ensures transparent and efficient financial support for participants, streamlining the process and fostering trust.
