Amar Chitra Katha is an Indian publisher of Indian comics and graphic novels. The company was founded in 1967 by Anant Pai and is headquartered in Mumbai. Veteran artist Pratap Mullick portrayed different side of Urvashi’s personality with his brushes. Kalidasa, the Sanskrit poet and dramatist is the author of Vikramorvashiam, the Sanskrit drama from which this book has been adapted. Most of Amar Chitra Katha comics are based on religious legends and epics, historical figures and biographies, folktales and cultural stories

Amar Chitra Katha - Jayaprakash Narayan

Anant Pai, popularly known as Uncle Pai, was an Indian educationalist and creator of Indian comics, in particular the Amar Chitra Katha series in 1967. Jayaprakash Narayan, popularly referred to as JP or Lok Nayak, was an Indian independence activist, theorist, socialist, and political leader. The country recognised Jayaprakash Narayan as an honest, brilliant, and selfless Gandhian. In Amar Chitra Katha, they have narrated Jayaprakash Narayan’s story.
