DDS 2007
The ‘Design Degree Show’, was an annual event that took place in the months of May or June in IDC. It was the exhibition of the projects done by the graduating students from the streams of Visual Communication and Industrial Design at the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay. ‘Poorna’ was the theme for DDS 2007. In Sanskrit, Poorna means whole. It also means "complete." As our work speaks to our individual identities, this exhibition symbolises our identity as a whole. At DDS 2007, the single elements converge to become a part of the whole, giving the whole a unique identity. The Design Degree Show 2007 was the completion and culmination of our shared experience and is the point where we all come together before we part ways. The symbol we chose to represent us was one point, 'bindu', which contains the whole. At DDS 2007, the graduating batch proudly presented their work as one.
