There are is one small shop in the village which is also a ration shop. The villagers go to Kolad (12kms) for the weekly mandi to get their household essentials for the week.

The village school: Most are educated at least till 4th standard and they know to read and write Marathi. The school in the village is upto 4th standard. Two teachers teach the whole class. All the students sit in one big classroom.

The Village is surrounded by beautiful landscape and located about 5kms off from the Mumbai - Goa highway at a distance of 12kms from the town of Kolad in Maharastra. The village is involved in mainly farming of Kharif crop once a year from the monsoon rains. About half of the families have some relative or the other living in the city of Mumbai. The villagers help each other and conduct different events and festivals together. The whole village belongs to one community - Maratha.
