Ganesh Visarjan, This section has pictures taken at Chowpatty, Mumbai, India on last day of Ganpati/Ganesh festival, which is one of the biggest public festivals of Hindu religion. This festival witnesses various cultural events, which bring the public together and enhance the sense of belonging and togetherness. Ganesh Chaturthi festival ends with the Visarjan or immersion of the idols in water. Huge processions of people carry the idol to a river, lake or ocean, accompanied by the chant of Ganapati Bappa Morya.
