The magic of Old Delhi transports you 400 years back, gliding you through its narrow lanes. The architectural marvels, the multicolored facades, beautifully decorated shops, ethnically dressed men and women and the delicacies from the potpourri of eateries that line these historical alleys are a delight to experience. Even though now the place has become extremely crowded and disrepair; Old Delhi still serves as symbolic heart of metropolitan Delhi.

Old Delhi is well known for its cuisine, both vegetarian and Mughlai. The narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk buzz with activity and are filled with the aroma of food. The area is home to the famous Gali Paranthe Wali, Ghantewala halwai and finger-licking-tasty street food. It became a famous gourmet locality when the parantha shops moved here in the 1870s. They have been making and selling parathas for over five generations now. The range includes more than twenty different types of parathas and is a must-have for anyone visiting Delhi.
