The Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts of India. Mehrangarh means the majestic fort. It is located in the city of Jodhpur. This fort has remained ever invincible with its strategical edifice. The construction of Mehrangarh Fort though started in the era of Rao-Jodha in 1459 yet much of the construction was carried on under Jaswant Singh. The fort is built on a 150 meter high hill top and thus it can be seen from the surrounding region.
