Cultures and traditions have been evolving since ages, and so does the technology used by the people. Traditional technology exhibition at the Museum of Mankind is an effort to showcase the knowledge practiced by the various communities in utilizing the locally available resources to sustain their ways of living. It celebrates the culture and heritage of the country by displaying numerous equipments and tools used by indigenous communities. Some of the worth-to watch displays are ‘Tui Changshu’ (Water operated husking lever), ‘Ganugu’ (Traditional oil press), ‘Gharat’ (Water operated grinding mill), ‘Sunnapuganugu’ (Traditional lime-mortar making device) and ‘Thum Sungpham’ (Salt making shed).
