- Pirns: It is used to wind the weft yarns for weaving.
- Frame looms: It is generally preferred for weaving in the Payyanur, Kannur regions of Kerala.
- Cotton Yarns: It is specially used for the making of the cotton materials of Payyanur.
- Long Sticks: It is specially used for drying of the boiled, colored yarns.
