The main bazaar of Leh busts with activity, well stocked, glass front modern stores selling traditional and modern products.
The market is full of Tibetan handicraft items including prayer wheels, Buddhist masks and Thangka paintings, Tibetan silver jewelry and traditional Ladakhi jewelry. Most of artifacts are not locally made but are brought by vendors from Srinagar, Nepal and Tibet.
Generally, market is full of souvenir goods from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Delhi and has different flavors from Indian states. Normal day-to-day vegetable & fruits are sold at the local markets in the inner parts of Leh. Additionally, several exhibitions are organized inviting nearby villagers to sell traditional products such as Apricot juice, wooden crafts and metal crafts etc.
