Point

The point, line, plane and volume are the basic elements of design. Every design has these elements in various combinations. You can create compositions out of these elements based on the principles of design. A point is the smallest fundamental of design. Connecting 2 points creates a line. Using lines, one can create planes which lead to creation of many shapes. These planes or shapes can be used to create 3D / volumetric forms. Understanding these fundamentals takes you one step closer of creating good design.
