Cooking up the Story

  • Printer-friendly version

The final story was a patchwork. Tying all the interesting incidents with a common knot, that was ‘Gajar ka halwa’ which is a sweet loving story of an elderly couple beautified by the humdrum of day-to-day life.

Sharing a dessert with one's spouse may not be as easy as sharing a lifetime! Especially if age has taken over and there are dietary restrictions. But then a little squabble, a little persistence, with a lot of ingenuity, stealth. With all this, will grandpa win over grandma’s gajar ka halwa?

Few storyboard panels:

An animatic was prepared using a wooden mannequin and rough thermocol set to get a clear idea of the camera angles and placement of all the elements.
