The tools and raw materials that are used for bandhani work are:

• Fabric is one of the main and essential raw material for this craft.

• Synthetic, acrylic nylon or any water resistible thread is used in tying the knots.

• Dye colors and chemical are used in giving the color to the fabric.

• Tracing butter sheet is used in creating a required pattern to the fabric.

• Fugitive colors are washable colors used in tracing.

• Shoe Brush is used in application of the fugitive color.

• A pointed Thimble is worn on the ring finger of the left hand in order to protrude the cloth for tying the knot.

• A fine thin tube is held in hand in order to easy winding the thread over the fabric.
