Some of the tools and raw materials essential for the Brass work of Aligarh are as follows.

1. Hammer:
It is used to give effect to an object by either driving or breaking apart the object.

2. Blacksmith Tongs (Chimti):
It is generally used to hold the work piece firmly without slipping. 

3. Cast Iron Container (Chani):
It is used as bowl to filter the fine sand.

4. Locally Made Mesh:
It is made of metal or net to drain out the surplus materials.

5. Wooden Piece:
It is used to crush the mixture of sand to smooth form. 

6. Charcoal:
It is used as fuel and in furnace for smelting.

7. Chalk Powder:
It is used as a parting powder to prevent molding sand from sticking.

8. Casting Frames:
Iron frame used for casting the product.

9. Roller:
It is used to roll the sand mixture evenly after stamping with the feet.

10. Soldering Machine:
It is used to join two parts of the metal surface.

11. Different Type of Chisels:
It is used to make the required design patterns on the casted metal surface.

12. Files:
It is used to cut, shape the surface of metal piece in the required sizes. 

13. Sandpaper:
It has small amount of material which helps in making the surface smooth.

14. Brush:
It is used for removal/ cleaning of the fine particles.

15. Crucible:
It is used to hold the brass metal for melting.

16. Tongs:
It is used for lifting and holding the heated crucible.

17. Hand Crank Blower:
It is used for melting brass metal.

18. Brass Material:
It is used as the raw material for the molten metal.

19. Thin Sheet of Metal (like knife):
It is used to scrap out the extra sand mixture material.

20. Sheet Type of Metal Piece:
It is used to mix thoroughly the molten metal.

21. Resin/ Waste Sugarcane Juice:
It is used for making the sand mixture paste.
