Expressive Letterforms:
The emergence of language, the evolution of signs to speech or spoken language and then to written language has taken place over the years. The project is an attempt to understand and establish a relationship between written forms and our present context.
The project is an installation where actual conversations that take place in a given space are visually translated through calligraphy.
These conversations contain different kinds of narratives and stories that connect one space to many others. They share the same space at a given point of time. The chosen space, in this case, the ladies compartment in a train, has been recreated through expressions in calligraphy.
