The project aims to redesign an existing visualisation of comparative neuroanatomy of species derived from the dataset of neuroscience research on brains. The research is called the 'Brain Soup Experiment' done by a Brazilian neuroscientist Dr.SuzanaHerculano Housel to understand factors affecting cognitive abilities and behaviour of different brains due to their neuroanatomy. The project comes under the broader theme of 'Public Understanding of Science' and the main aim is to visualize the research findings that are backed up by scientifically accurate data in an interesting and engaging way that can spark interest and curiosity within the target audience. This project focuses on creating a web-based data story along with interactive visualizations that support the narrative. It allows the audience to do visual comparisons within species and speculate as to what can be possible factors affecting the degree of cognition in a species and allow them to do cross-species comparisons.
