This is an interactive installation design project which explores what traditional cultures say about sustainability. It is primarily meant for children of ages 10 to 15. The installation talks about traditional knowledge, its importance and how culture emphasized respecting nature as an entity of its own. It also suggests that traditional knowledge should be used in tandem with modern science to build sustainable solutions for environmental problems. This report also discusses the physical form of the installation, which is set around a tree, from which fruits of wisdom hang. The elements communicated to the audience via auditory, visual and tactile outputs. The report finally summarizes the audience’s experiences and feedback about this installation.
