Vehicles are making a transition from IC engines to alternative sources of power, which will have a direct impact on their form and aesthetic. Alternative propulsion mthods offer alternative packaging possibilities which directly influence the aesthetic of the vehicle. Bikes form an important part of the Indian automotive scenario, with bikers being a highly passionate and enthusiastic lot. A bike offers a commuting experience which is more connected and emotional than any other form of mobility, at a much lower price. Bikes are also prime examples of how a vehicle’s aesthetic is dependent on its packaging. The project will attempt to explore the aesthetic possibilities of an urban motorcycle driven by a non-fossil fuel based propulsion system, which remains true to the character of the urban bike.
