The hand is one of the most delicate and complex parts of the human body. Hence the objective was designing an object, where form, substance, and function must correspond perfectly to the shape of the hand by facilitating its movement, without harming it. Each handle must radiate sensuality by sight and by touch.

Number of ideas were created randomly and using card sorting method the ideas were grouped into three categories based upon the manufacturing processes. Namely predominantly rod based, predominantly sheet based and predominantly solid based.

Out of each of these categories the next step was to identify three representative ideas for playful expression, elegant expression and postmodern expression. These ideas were further refined and converted into concepts.
