This project explores the culture and tradition of the Indo-Tibetan Buddhists, living in the Himalayan region. The project aims to understand the various traditional designs and patterns of Indo-Tibetan Buddhism and how they could be implemented in the chukun chomey stand. Though the existing chukun chomey stand fulfils the main purpose of creating an enclosed space to light the chukun chomey but further refinement could be done interims of aesthetics and features.

The project deals with the exploration of the culture and tradition in the initial stage and understanding the problems that users face while lighting the chukun chomey in the chukun chomey stand. The later stage involves the design part of chukun chomey stand with respect to the cultural and traditional aspects.
