This is an instructional design project which involves creating a lesson plan, information manual and task book for an 18-hour “sustainability and design” module for class 10 students, in the proposed “design thinking” skill education elective by CBSE meant for class 6 - 11 CBSE students. The content was curated by consulting domain experts, and the instruction materials were designed and evaluated at every key stage of the design process. An overall evaluation was also conducted with class 10 social science teachers, after which their feedback was consolidated and interpreted, helping them understand the areas which need changes. Although instructional design projects happen on a longer scale, only one evaluation and iteration was conducted for this project. Some open issues and next steps for this module based on the feedback received have been detailed towards the end of the report.
