There is an important requirement in all Indian languages to have new typefaces to meet evolving needs of communication. A new text font was designed in this project, after studying aesthetic and functional requirements of text typefaces in the Indian context. The methodology followed in designing this typeface for body text use is also described in the report.

This design mainly focuses on structure and proportion of Gujarati script, advantages of using OpenType font format, comparative analysis of final design in terms of impersonal behavior of characters and effective functionality for print usage.
