In addition to above mention tools one may need blotter, pencil and eraser, knife and blade.
Blotter is used to soak the excess of water or pigment from the drawing surface. Special blotting papers are also available in market but clean cotton rag can also be used for the same purpose.
To use watercolor for illustration, one may need to draw the subject first with pencil and then can paint on top of it. Fine artist might not need to draw the subject at all; they can directly start applying paints.
Beginners may use soft lead pencil to draw rough outlines of the subject and the extra-unwanted lines can be erased after painting is thoroughly dry.
Knife and single edge blade can be used for finishing touches after drying of the painting. Especially highlights can be added by scratching the colored surface with the help of these tools.
