FICCI - Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), a non- government and non-profit organization of India’s business and industry was established in 1927. It undertook 38 different sectors of our economy, which also includes the Media and Entertainment. The three day event of FICCI frames (started in 2000) involves a huge number of Indian as well as international enthusiast from the entertainment industry covering its entire gamut: Broadcast, Television, Animation, Gaming, Visual Effects etc.
FICCI also started BAF: Best Animation Frames Awards to recognize and honor talented people in the field of animation.
NASSCOM
NASSCOM - The National Association of Software and Services Companies.
NASSCOM - The National Association of Software and Services Companies is a non-profit, industry funded organization. It was established in 1988 to build a growth led technology and business service sector in the country.
NAGFO (NASSCOM Animation & Gaming Forum) is a part of NASSCOM’s initiatives to promote the growth of the animation and gaming Industry. Chaired by Mr. Biren Ghose, it is formed to catalyze the growth of the Industry and also establish an interface with the government.
Asifa India
Asifa India - Asifa India aspires to promote cultural understanding through the art of animation.
Started in 2000, Asifa India aspires to promote cultural understanding through the art of animation. Throughout the year Asifa organizes an event named CG- Meet up, which is a platform for interaction and helps in bringing the community together by holding interactive sessions, film screening, free workshops and a lot more. It also holds ‘Animation Film Festival International Animation Day’ (IAD) which is celebrated every year on 28th October.
Apart from lending support to other community to build their events, Asifa India has its ‘Award of Excellence’ to recognize best animations in India.
TASI
TASI - The Animation Society of India.
Every year animation enthusiasts from all over the country wait for this event where there is an exchange of creative and technical information within the field of Art and Animation. With its inception in 2001 by Ranjit Singh Tony, TASI conducts seminars, interactive workshops, lecture demonstrations and get-togethers for the community, across various cities in India.
It also holds a yearly animation festival – ‘Anifest India’ to showcase and encourage the Indian endeavor in the field of animation.
ABAI
ABAI - A non-profit association was started by Bangalore Animation Industry to promote the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) business activities in India.
In 2006, a non-profit association was started by Bangalore Animation Industry to promote the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) business activities in India. With promoting the industry locally and globally, through events, creating new initiatives and networking is one of the policies of ABAI in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka.
In 2014, ABAI came up with a ‘Train The Trainee’ initiative where the candidates are given a six-month training by the industry experts to enhance their skills and productivity in the AVCG industry.
In order to increase the opportunities for fine art students, ABAI is also working in the digitalization of art colleges of Karnataka. It also focuses on the business and industry of AVGC by conducting KAVGC summit every year.
SAID
SAID - The Society for Animation in Delhi.
The Society for Animation in Delhi is a non-profit organization of independent and voluntary animators and artists, which works towards the creation, establishment, maintenance of animation related intellectual property.
It was established in 2010 with a passion to push Indian animation to International standards. They also came up with ‘Annual Graphics and Animation Film Awards’ (AGAFA) in 2013 to encourage the creative and qualitative production of art and animation.
