Detailed Description

Prof. Phani Tetali is a distinguished faculty member at the IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay. He specialises in areas such as animation, gaming, illustration, cartooning, comic art, and the use of new media in education. He has a Bachelor of Technology from IIT BHU and a Master of Design in Visual Communication from IDC, IIT Bombay. Prof. Tetali has extensive industry experience, having worked in the animation and gaming sectors for over 18 years before transitioning to academia. He was involved in key roles at several prominent companies, including as Vice President at FXLabs Studios and DQ Entertainment. He founded Animatix Studios in Chennai, producing the notable animation series "Tara Ki Duniya." At IDC, he teaches courses related to animation design, sketching, and representation techniques. He has also been recognised for his excellence in teaching, receiving the Prof. Sukhatme Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2017.
