This project explores the complete process of storybook design, from concept development and storytelling to illustration, typography, layout, color, and final book production. Developed during an internship at Paperboat Animation Studios, Mumbai, the project focused on creating an illustrated storybook from scratch, emphasizing the challenge of conveying a detailed narrative through minimal text and expressive visuals. The design process involved story development, research, feedback-driven revisions, and careful consideration of elements such as page size, illustration style, fonts, spacing, and negative space to create an engaging reading experience. The final story follows a South Indian student navigating Mumbai for the first time in search of good food, using his journey to capture the city's culture, people, and vibrant spirit through a simple, visually driven narrative.
