This research project explores acoustic ecology by recording and analyzing the soundscapes of Mumbai to understand how environmental sounds shape the identity of urban spaces. Focusing on locations such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Marine Drive, and shopping malls, the study categorizes and compares different sound sources while also experimenting with their visual interpretation. Inspired by established soundscape research, the project highlights the role of sound in creating immersive environments and enriching the perception of place.
