This project presents a trunk stability product designed to improve seated posture and stability for individuals with ataxia, a neurological disorder that impairs coordination and balance. Focusing on ergonomic design and user comfort, the product features adjustable support mechanisms to accommodate varying severity levels and individual needs. Incorporating assistive technology and biofeedback, it enhances user engagement and promotes better posture during prolonged sitting. Developed through collaboration with healthcare professionals and refined via user feedback, the design addresses a significant gap in existing assistive devices for ataxia patients. The trunk stability product represents a meaningful advancement in assistive technology, aiming to foster independence, confidence, and improved quality of life for those living with ataxia.
