The seventeenth edition of the annual international conference Typography Day 2025 was held from March 6 to 8, 2025, at the IDC School of Design, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), Mumbai. Organised with support from the India Design Association (InDeAs), Design in India, and Aksharaya, this year's theme was "Typography and Storytelling". The event included a two-day conference addressing difficulties encountered by type designers, users, and educators after a day of workshops on calligraphy and typography. Highlights included keynote addresses by international experts, academic presentations selected through a blind jury process, and exhibitions showcasing typographic works from students and faculty across various design institutes. An international poster contest was also held during the conference, with winning entries displayed during the event. Typography Day 2025 served as a vibrant platform for exploring the intersection of typography and storytelling across linguistic and cultural boundaries.
