Detailed Description

Systems/Robotics Projects DAAP, University of Cincinnati: Robotics, Furniture and Exhibits were part of a series of design excercises assigned to industrial design students at the junior and senior levels, especially as a follow up to the Design technology series i have taught at the university of Cincinnati. Powercell/ Daewoo small car Design: C3DI was involved in the development of a series of alternative enrgy packs for powercell - Cambridge based start up company in the alternative fuels marketplace. Design visualization played a major role in the marketing approach which involved the illustration of various spatial configurations of the fuel cells within existing vehicles and some times developing whole new layouts. SGI/ Alias Studio The 3D models were built and rendered on an SGI workstation with Alias Studio software. Animations and Marketing material produced using Macromedia Director. Lighting and Packing design DAAP, University of Cincinnati: The packaging design projects were assigned to second year students to satisfy their desire to tackle real world design problems while maintaining from the sensibilities learned in the Freshman Foundation Program. Colour, formal transitions and system consistency were emphasised. The lighting project addressed the model making skills of these students while providing substantial practical experience in building working prototypes.
