Anand Suresh Pachorkar, a master artisan of pavithra ring making, resides in Triambakeswar at Nashik. It is the art of pavithra ring making that has passed on to him from four generations. The ring is made traditionally in which 16 silver wires are used to form the design without any joints. Pavithra ring is made of 15 to 20 grams of silver. Pavithra ring is also made using gold. The designs of the pavithra ring vary as per the pooja performed while wearing it.
