Sandalwood has unique identity by its fragrance and its softness. It is used in many rituals by many religions .The artisans of Sagara creatively make sandalwood garlands. These garlands are used as religious offering to gods during festivals and also in ritual functions. To make these garlands, the waste wood is cut into thin small strips. These strips are creatively stitched with the help of needle. The parts of garland are made separately and tied together. Bright colored artificial rose flowers and shiny velvet cloth are added to enhance the look of garland.
