The idol of Lord Ganesha is welcome into the house and abhishek is done.
Then these Lord Ganesha statues are settled in colourfully decorated homes and specially erected temporary structures in every locality where rituals are carried out and vedic hymns are chanted.
After offering food (Bhog) to the idol of Lord Ganesha, ladies of the house arrange food for everyone.
