Raw marble available with the artisan is cut to the required shapes and sizes which are either made into boxes or frames as per the specifications mentioned. The cut marble pieces are file to remove out the sharp edges and to obtain the smooth surfaces. Two pieces of marble are joined together with the adhesive (cyanoacrylic) to obtain the required shape of the product. The main artisan paints the outline of the motif which is filled (completed) by the other artisans.
The pattern of designs generally found are of elephants, ducks as per the designs to be taken from reign of the rulers of the earlier times to portray (highlight) the themes and symbols. Sunehri colors are used to enhance the effect of the motif. After the surface is painted with different colors as per the motif a coat of varnish is applied to obtain the smooth finish on the surface of marble which gives a lustrous appearance on the surface.
