When Sabala is been told it is unfair if Mrs. Mallamma Yalawar isn’t mentioned. She is one of the key person for the smooth going of the Sabala organization, at present she is the CEO of the Sabala organization who supports in the upliftment of the women in the rural areas. For the upliftment of the women at Bijapur she is one of the backbone stood firm in bringing them up to stand on their own feet for their livelihood. For this voluntary service of her she was awarded with few of them as given below.
• Janaki Devi Bajaj Puraskar was awarded for the excellent work towards betterment of the rural women and children.
• Arya Bhatta Cultural Organisation awarded her for the upliftment of cultural heritage of the Lambani community.
Mrs. Mallamma Yalawar is also founder of the Chaitanya Mahila Cooperative Bank in Bijapur established in the year 1995 exclusively for women with the women empowerment as its primary focus. It is also fascinating to see the process of picking the right threads and beads through the needle at work and the pace at which their hands move.
