The process begins by choosing the right size Alternate Tellin shell. One half of the shell is taken as the base for the flower making. A small amount of glue from the glue gun is put on the shell. Florida prickly cockle shell (White colour) is chosen for the petals of the flower. Two shells are taken with insides facing each other and is stuck on the base shell.
Prickly cockle shells are stuck around in a pattern, one layer at a time. These shells are arranged in the same direction till the tip of Tellin shell. Many flowers are made in the same manner and kept aside to dry for few minutes.
Four bamboo sticks of length 10 inches are placed parallel to each other with 1 and half inch gap between each stick. Four more are placed on top of these and the corners of both sets are nailed to each other. They are secured further with binding wires.
Two green leaves are glued to each flower using glue gun. These flowers along with leaves are stuck to the bamboo frame made earlier. Once the frame is filled with the flowers, smaller sized flowers made out of shells are place at the tip of the stems.
