She is a Phd scholar from Rutgers University, USA on the topic of sustainable fisheries.

She is interested in marine life issues and has worked for sea turtles from last ten years, she research on the types of lights which affect the moments of turtles in India about which nobody has given a thought before. By profession she is geographer and wild life biologist.
