His critical writings and process-driven teaching pedagogy inspired more than a generation of Indian designers to the new possibilities of design and initiated many at NID itself. NID’s Knowledge Management Centre (KMC): library secures his published papers from the Design for Development- a UNIDO-ICSID India meet Jan 14-24, 1979; the first design conference in India hosted by NID. His well-known book, ‘Man and Environment – a design primer’ (1980), First Edi. became a major module offered as part of foundation studies at NID [7]. Later, with more research and insights from the outcomes of the courses offered; feedbacks from faculties and other institutes; a revised design primer was released by the name, Design and Environment – a primer (hindi version: डिज़ाइन एवं परिवेश). His educational kit for school children called Design and Environment: An Introductory Manual became exceptionally popular enough to be broadcasted on the Indian National Television Network.
