Palladium is Mumbai’s first luxury retailing mall. It is the latest retail development to come up at High Street Phoenix (HSP), Lower Parel. HSP is one of Mumbai’s largest shopping and entertainment destinations. HSP covers 3.3 million square feet of space and houses over 500 brands, variety of F&B, entertainment, commercial and residential complexes. Architecturally HSP is essentially a collection of four retail building now namely Palladium, Courtyard, Grand Galleria and Skyzone. Our scope in this development was to design a sign design identity and implement a wayfinding scheme for the complete development that is known as HSP. Palladium was the first of the sign design exercise that was implemented.
The EGD scheme for Palladium was proposed by Callison Architects, which was then developed into a sign design and wayfinding scheme by us.
Palladium has been designed on the theme and style of the Art Deco movement. This theme is reflected in the design of its interiors and the mall logo. The rendition of this theme along with the extensive use of marble and wood, give the mall an opulent feel. The signs have been designed to carry motifs from the logo and other art deco motifs so as to carry forward this theme and décor.
Our signs on the interior of the project reflect the materials used. Our primary materials have been brushed finish Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Acrylic & Glass , with the use of wood finish 3M DiNoc film on the signs. These signs have been internally illuminated with warm white, high lumen LED lights.
