'Hanging on to Hope' is an illustrated story book based on the farmer suicides at Vidarbha. It is a tribute to the numerous farmers who fell prey to the difficult situations in the agricultural sector of our society, and found death to be their only way out.
Though the subject of the project is related to a social crisis, the narrator did not want this book to convey a social message. The story written and illustrated by the narrator is about a boy whose father is a farmer. The project is an expression of the emotions of the farmers in Vidarbha; with the hardships that the farmers face and what they and their families go through.
Aim of the project:
To make an illustrated book with a fictional story about the farmers, which tells the reader about their life and the hardships they face, and certain situations which affect them and their families deeply. Trying to touch the readers mind such that he empathizes with the farmer and his family.
