Narang, Ramola Devi, Manorama, and Durga Mota play the key characters in this film. A Khazanchi was portrayed by M. Ismail. The movie was the year's biggest hit and top earner. Tamil filmmakers remade the movie as Moondru Pillaigal (1952).

Anjum Pilibhiti wrote the lyrics for the music, which was composed by Rafiq Ghaznavi. The first movie released under Mehboob Khan's Mehboob Productions label was Najma. Najma highlights the value of education and the need for modern growth within the Muslim community, but she also emphasises the importance of maintaining traditions like arranged marriages and protecting the honour of one's family. It was made by Bombay Talkies while it was engaged in a succession dispute between Devika Rani and Sashadhar Mukherjee following the passing of owner Himanshu Rai. It was directed by Gyan Mukherjee and written by Mukherjee and Aghajani Kashmeri. The movie was both the first blockbuster in Indian cinema and the first significant hit in Bombay cinema history.

Anmol Ghadi

This poster was made for the 1952 Hindi film Anmol Ghadi. Mehboob Khan produced and directed this film, the country's first technicolour production. Anmol Ghadi was shot in 16mm Gevacolor and then blown up in technicolour. It has Dilip Kumar, Premnath, and Nimmi in its cast, while Nadira, who was chosen in place of actress Nargis, makes her acting debut. It was the first movie to earn more than Rs. 15 million and the one with the biggest box office take in 1952.
