This poster was made for the 1943 Indian drama film Kismet. It was made by Bombay Talkies while it was engaged in a succession dispute between Devika Rani and Sashadhar Mukherjee following the passing of owner Himanshu Rai. It was directed by Gyan Mukherjee and written by Mukherjee and Aghajani Kashmeri. The movie was both the first blockbuster in Indian cinema and the first significant hit in Bombay cinema history.
