Stringed Toys are toys that have strings attached to them provide controlled movement to the object. There are many different varieties of stringed toys like puppets, fun toys, etc. Depending on their form and intended use they are made up of various materials like cloth, paper, plastic, palm leaves, etc. They vary from being simple pull-along toys to complex ones as in Jacob’s Ladder.
Stringed toys are enjoyed by children as well as adults. Puppets are used as a storytelling devices. Playing with stringed toys helps the children not only enhance creativity and dexterity but also helps them to understand the various concepts of physics like optical illusion, concepts of centrifugal forces, laws of gravity and equilibrium, concepts of sounds, levers and inclined planes, etc.
