Anwar Ali of 20 years is a carpet maker from Bilari village of Moradabad district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. He learned this art from his father. Carpet making is his family business. A group of artisans along with him travel to different states for earnings. They stay around 6 to 7 months in one state, make carpets as per customers’ demand, earn some money and travel to another place. They produce 5 to 6 pieces of Jaykat Galeecha in one day. They are street sellers. They wander in lanes and alleys to get some work as they don’t have any firm business place.
