Tools and Raw Materials
Tools and raw materials used for Silver Casting are as follows:
| • Clay | - Material with which the casting is made. |
| • Scarp Silver Metal | - Is melted to obtain liquid metal. |
| • Silica sand | - Applied on the master die before clay is put. |
| • Furnace | - Used to heat scrap silver metal. |
| • Container | - Used for holding silver while heating. |
| • Charcoal | - Used in the furnace. |
| • Round casting frame | - Used for casting the ring. |
| • Master die | - Brass mould with which silver replica is made. |
| • Talcum powder/ cornstarch | - Sprinkled on one half of the casting frame so that the clay of second does not stick. |
| • Tweezers | - Used to arrange charcoal around the container in the furnace. |
| • Tongs | - Used to carry the container containing molten silver metal. |
