The kitchen is the most important part of the house, very well decorated and maintained by the women. The interiors are made of wood and metal with intricate carvings on the pillars, shelves, beams and low curved tables.
The utensils used are mostly made of metal, clay or powdered stones. The shapes of the vessels are typical hybrid of oriental forms & local craftsmanship known as ‘gara’.
The traditional vessels include Thau, Chapskang, Dulu, Tibril, Lodos Motogma, Zangbu, Gur-Gur , Rdo Por and many more.
